Every shop has a story.

This one just happens to have shelves full of them.

When Ben took over the shop, he inherited more than a building. He inherited decades of Volkswagen history…thousands of original parts, forgotten projects, handwritten notes, and the kind of collection most people would've hauled off to the scrapyard.

Most people saw clutter.

Ben saw possibility.

We spent countless hours cleaning, organizing, and preserving what has become one of the shop's greatest assets: a living library of original aircooled Volkswagen parts. Every shelf, every crate, and every dusty corner represents another opportunity to keep a classic Volkswagen on the road.

But BenBuilt Customs isn't really about the parts. It's about the people who trust us with their cars. The father rebuilding the Beetle he grew up riding in. The family Bus that's been waiting years for "someday." The Karmann Ghia that deserves another drive down Highway 1.

We believe in doing things the right way. Honest conversations. Original craftsmanship. No shortcuts. Whether we're rebuilding an engine, tracking down an electrical problem, or finding the impossible-to-find part hidden somewhere in the hoard, every project gets the same care and attention.

Because at the end of the day, we're not just fixing Volkswagens.
